Shiloh
Shiloh is approximately a year old, super playful, very sweet and loves
to snuggle. Shiloh has had no formal obedience training but she knows how to
sit, and will come to you in the house. Her leash manners are good and the
more she walks, the better she becomes. If you are athletic and enjoy
jogging or power walking, Shiloh would be a very good partner because she
loves long walks.
 Her
characteristics are quite Basenji-like; high hunting drive, must be on leash
outside and cannot be with cats but is very cat-like herself, jumping up on
the window sills, washing herself, and curling up in a ball. She is docile,
adorable, and such a love. If she gets bored, she could test a 6' fence so
until she matures, she will need to be watched.
I believe she is mixed with Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler), so she
can bark, but her funny noises that sound like Chewbacca the Wookie are
pretty cute! She got along fine with her kennel mate dogs at the shelter,
but she would probably do better in a house where she was the only dog.
Shiloh would love a home that would have a human there most of the day.
She is a curious girl, and loves to go on road trips. She is a bit too
rambunctious for young children, so a home with children 8-years old or
older would be best.
Although I would love to have her in the Lake Tahoe area, so that I can
be there for support, of just to visit, I am open to having her in Montana,
Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, (Reno, Nevada), California, or Utah, as
I go to those places and could transport and visit her there when I come
through.
I also found out that Shiloh likes to watch Animal Planet and The Dog
Whisperer - who knew?!
