Janie
Janie
is an adorable female basenji mix who is 40 lbs and about 5-6 years old. She
is being re-homed because unfortunately she, and the senior 10 lb terrier
she lives with, just do not get along anymore and because of their size
discrepancy there is a concern she could hurt him. Both want to be alpha of
the pup pack now and age seems to have changed the relationship. We are
currently dealing with the situation with gates for separation and Janie
does respect the gate as her boundary.

She is a very sweet girl but has a strong prey drive so no little dogs,
cats or small critters for her! She does best with male dogs that are her
size. She has never been around children so they may not be a good match for
her.
Janie is timid with strangers and doesn't like "scary" movements such as
lifting hands from people she doesn't know. She is a bit uncomfortable out
of her environment and is relaxed and happiest in her home.
Janie is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, heartworm negative, and
housebroken. She is an indoor dog and thinks she should sleep on the bed...
where she does!
Janie needs to be entertained when alone, such as having the company of
another dog. In fact she is often miserable without the company o f
her best friend "Snowflake", a 60 lb, 2 year old Labrador mix. The owner is
willing to re-home, best friend, Snowflake along with Janie to help her
adjust.

your family, please feel free to email: dinamessina@mail.com
