Ju Ju

Ju Ju is a Basenji/ Pit Bull mix who is roughly 16 months old. I rescued him from an irresponsible owner who was going to put him down because she didn't want to take care of him any longer. He was taken away from his mother and litter mates at around 5 weeks and lived with a woman and her 5 year old son. Ju Ju was kept indoors and had very little interaction with other dogs or strangers. As a result, he was very timid and unsure in new situations and around new people.

I have spent 3 months working with him and he has improved dramatically. He loves to run, play with squeaky toys, and learn new tricks. He is learning to like strangers especially if they allow him to approach them, and has much more confidence at the pet stores. JuJu loves children and people but needs some time initially to warm up to them. He gets along great with my cats and gets very excited about other dogs.

I would recommend Ju Ju be placed with people who have some experience with dogs. It would benefit him greatly to have a confidant owner whom he can take his lead from. Please contact me with any further questions and thank you for your consideration. E-mail: bbj359@yahoo.com
