Lady
Lady
spent her first two years in Louisiana, but is in Missouri now. She lived
in a back yard and helped her elderly owner earn some extra money by
having puppies. Lady tends to be a little alpha, but, what "mother" isn't?
Most of the time Lady lives up to her name. She is a
feminine, mature Lady. She is happy to sit and keep watch over her
household, with her head in your lap, of course! She does expect to have
proper introductions to all new people and other dogs. This "lady" is
particular about who she includes in her life. When you are accepted into
her world you know that you have been truly honored. Lady will be the best
and most loyal friend you have.
Lady has just about mastered housetraining but when she
goes to her new home she may need a few days of regular walking so she can
adjust to her new facilities routine. She has NOT mastered walking on a
leash without pulling. A no-pull halter, like the
SENSE-ation, may be the
answer to make this less stressful for both Lady and her new people.
Lady
has not shown any tendencies to climb, although in true basenji form, she
may decide to dart out a door just to prove she can. She has joined in to
help resident basenjis find a few moles. She enjoys chasing anything that will
run. Cats should not be in her home unless they have a safe place to hide.
Lady has not been child tested. Therefore she will not be placed in a home
with children under eight years old.
If you think you could provide Lady with love, activity, and evening
cuddle-time, please read the data sheet below carefully, complete
the BRAT
adoption form (if you have not previously done so)
and contact BRAT coordinator,
Tonya Ahrens. The coordinator's link will take you to a form that will
ask you your name, e-mail address, the city and state you live in, why this dog is perfect for your family, a
typical day in your household, and, if applicable, your plans for
transport. |
