Great Ball of Fire

Great Ball of Fire (GBF) is looking for a place he can call his own. He'd like a home he doesn't have to share with his mean cousin - that boy just keeps trying to bite him in the butt! A playful girl Basenji would be ideal to help him learn about her world!

GBF spent the first part of his life somewhere he is quickly forgetting! None of the dogs liked him! The world is new and he's ready to meet the challenges! A warm bed, a nutritious bowl of food, and lots of TLC sounds good to this Basenji boy! GBF likes people! He is curious about the kids he sees coming from the big yellow bus! When he gets excited, he will jump and nip; so young children are not advised.

GBF is afraid of the dark. He doesn't understand rain. He is very fearful of people with brooms. Some loud noises frighten him, especially that metal sign when the wind blows hard. He is getting confident on the stairs. He's learning about the vacuum cleaner and the dryer. The clang of toys in the bucket means lots of things to explore. He was walking proud carrying a stuffed duck, and then he found it had a fluffy inside! He likes balls and will chase them to amuse himself! The purple one is his favorite! GBF will even try the B-500 by himself!

GBF is in BRAT foster care. His foster parents assume he was never house trained, but he does hold it longer than a young puppy. His crate is dry overnight! He had a few accidents in the beginning and they were right in front of the door.

If you would like to help Great Ball of Fire explore your world and catch up for a year of lost time, please read the data sheet below carefully, complete the BRAT adoption form (if you have not previously done so) and contact BRAT coordinator and foster-parents, Barbara and Dennis Narehood. You must be willing to come to meet GBF and talk with his foster parents. It would be best if GBF is adopted directly, but a Foster-to-Adopt situation will be considered. The coordinator's link will take you to a form that will ask you your name, e-mail address, the city and state you live in, why this dog is perfect for your family, a typical day in your household, and, if applicable, how you plan to transport the dog.
