Tabby and Floyd
Floyd
and Tabby have now been in their foster home for a couple of months now and
their personalities are emerging.
Floyd (pictured at right) is the larger of the two,
weighing in at 26 lbs, and the more mischievous! He will help you get
"organized" by making sure your shoes are picked up and put away where they
belong. He will help you get your laundry done or risk snatching some
article of clothing away to under the bed for a chew session. He will also
crawl up next to you on the couch and stretch out for a good rub down.
This guy likes attention. He will raise a paw and tap you
on the leg or arm to let you know that he sure could use a scratch and a
pet. He has a lot of energy during the mid point of the day, so a place to
run around outside is optimum. He is smart. He knows how to distract you so
he can get to the item he wants or how to get a treat in exchange for a
stolen item!
Tabby
is a darling. She is a delicate thing at 15 lbs, and has the sweetest
disposition. She would like nothing better than to lay in your lap or at
your side and absorb your warmth and love. She is very submissive to her
brother unless she is guarding a chew bone! Otherwise, they share
everything; including their humans. Tabby is known to lay right on top of
Floyd to get as close as possible to your body. He never seems to mind!
They both love their walks and have developed a routine
here that is comfortable for all involved. They are happy to snooze during
the day while you are at work or otherwise and will greet you with barooo's
and wagging tails. They are current on all shots and have been to the vet
for full check ups. They are both very healthy. This pair is ready to be the
center of your world!
Recommend a home with older children, 13 and up or basenji
savvy.
Since they are a bonded pair, they are looking for a home
that will take them both. If you think you could provide Tabby and Floyd with love, activity, and evening
cuddle-time, please read the data sheet below carefully, complete
the BRAT
adoption form (if you have not previously done so)
and contact BRAT coordinator,
Roberta Kosek. The coordinator's link will take you to a form that will
ask you your name, e-mail address, the city and state you live in, why this dog is perfect for your family, a
typical day in your household, and, if applicable, how you plan to
transport the dog. |
